Mayfield’s EYFS provision gives learners the very best possible start to their educational journey through rich, meaningful experiences tailored to each unique child. Grounded in consistent, caring relationships and a nurturing environment, our approach offers opportunities for sensory exploration, emotional security, and communication – helping children engage with and begin to develop an awareness of the world around them.
The three prime areas of learning—Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), Communication and Language (C+L), and Physical Development (PD)—are central to this pathway. These are delivered through the lens of the four key EYFS principles: celebrating the unique child, building positive relationships, creating enabling environments, and supporting holistic learning and development.
This pathway celebrates each child’s potential by offering a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, ambitious, and responsive. By embedding high expectations, we lay the foundations for lifelong learning, social inclusion, and the ability to lead fulfilling lives.
