The Educational Psychology Service is part of Birmingham City Council and all working for the service are qualified educational psychologists who are registered with the Health Care Professional Council. Both trainees and assistant psychologists also work with the service.

The main aim of the service is to facilitate the social, emotional and educational development of young people. The service help support Mayfield School to identify solutions alongside other professionals, including health who may also be involved.

The services work involves consultation meetings, training, assessments, observations and planning interventions. The work could involve direct work with your child or your child being part of a group they may work with.
