Welcome to class C8.
Amelia is our teacher, supported by Sajida and Pauline who are our TAs.
This term our topic is ‘My home, my community’. We will be learning all about different types of homes for people and the different types of habitats animals live in.
We will also be focussing on how to keep ourselves safe in the community, by learning about road safety and the emergency services.
We will continue to learn new sounds in our daily phonics lessons and practicing how to blend these sounds to read and write simple words.
In maths we will focus on recognising and ordering numbers, adding quantities together and learning more about money.
After half term, our new topic will be ‘Festivals and celebrations’, where we will be exploring the different festivals and celebrations from around the world, including Diwali, Hanukkah, Eid and Christmas.
